PAX Colors: What Options Do You Have?

Who said your vaporizer has to be plain? Color is solely cosmetic with the PAX 2 and PAX 3. Both vaporizers are well-known for their technology, and that technology remains unchanged whether the portable vaporizer is gray or silver or blue.

No matter which color you choose, PAX 2 and PAX 3 are celebrated for their industry-leading features, both on its sleek exterior and its intelligent interior. First and foremost is the anodized aluminum shell. PAX vaporizers are designed to be warm to the touch. This is made possible by the outer anodized aluminum shell, which evenly distributes the heat generated by the oven.

PAX was built with the unassuming consumer in mind, which is why its streamlined look shows no buttons, sharp corners, or screens. The smooth outer shell and gadget-less exterior match the streamlined and smart inner workings. The oven is placed on the opposite end of the mouthpiece, and in between is a stainless-steel vapor path. The vapor cools as it travels up the pathway, so it emerges as a warm cloud.

On top of its streamlined design, PAX 2 and PAX 3 support the utmost discretion. The device’s only button is hidden underneath the mouthpiece, while a flat mouthpiece option lays completely flush with the top of the device, for a truly discreet experience.

Finally, the PAX 3 is equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, allowing for fine-tuned operation with any Apple or Android device. The PAX Mobile app allows for precise temperature control, advanced security with a lock/unlock feature, easy switching between dynamic modes, select LED indicator light customization, and automatic firmware updates.

What colors are available?

When it was initially released in March 2015, PAX 2 was available in four colors: charcoal, a dark gray; platinum, a futuristic silver; topaz, a gem-inspired blue; and flare, a fiery red. Currently, PAX 2 is only available in charcoal and platinum. All four colors are offered in a bead-blasted finish. This finish choice is a carry-over from PAX 2’s predecessor, the PAX 1, which was available in Onyx, Emerald, Cobalt, Amethyst, and limited-edition Diamond.

When PAX Labs released PAX 3 in November 2016, it changed its color offerings — and its surface treatment. PAX 3 moved away from the bead-blasted aluminum look, applying a matte look to the same aluminum shell. The device, which can be purchased in a “device-only” variety and a “complete kit” to support the use of concentrates with the unit, is available in four colors. Consumers can choose from matte black, matte rose gold, matte silver, and matte teal. The portable vaporizer was offered in a limited-edition fuchsia in late 2018.

What comes with your PAX?

PAX 3 is available in two options: the device-only kit for use with dry herb material, and the complete kit for use with dry herb and concentrates. If you do not plan to consume concentrates, the PAX 3 device-only kit has everything you need. If you do consume concentrates, the complete kit includes additional items so concentrates can be inserted safely into the portable vaporizer. If you change your mind later down the line, you can purchase the complete kit’s accessories from the PAX website.
